The Clitheroe Town Wells Conservation Campaign is encouraging Ribble Valley Borough Council to care for for all three of Clitheroe's ancient spring wells.
From around 2016 they ceased to maintain the wells and the fear is that they might eventually be paved over to save money. Sad for the oldest sites in Clitheroe which really should become community assets and shrines to our history and culture.
But we're going to do something about it!
