LLHF Day School
Lancashire Local History Federation study day on the Canals and waterways of Lancashire which is to be held on 2 November at the Preston Masonic Hall. It is being held in association with the Leeds and Liverpool Canal Society, to commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the opening of the first section of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal, from Parbold to Wigan. There is an excellent line-up of speakers with talks on a variety of topics.

The Regional Heritage Centre at Lancaster University is having a study day at Carlisle Cathedral’s magnificent Fratry Hall. This event is focused on the cathedral library. Brandon Taylorian of UCLAN is hosting two workshops on antique photographs in Livesey House at UCLan, the first one is scheduled for 19th June from 6pm to 8pm and the second on 10th July from 6pm to 8pm.
